BDM / Product Manager (Japan)

Our key product is a high-load video hosting platform used by millions of people worldwide every day. With over 15 years on the market, we've built a professional team that values engagement and initiative.

Who we're looking for: BDM / Product Manager to lead the strategic expansion and localization of our platform in the Japanese market.

What you'll be working on: 

  • Leading the strategic adaptation of our platform for the Japanese market, with potential expansion across Asia;
  • Acting as a market expert, identifying trends in user behavior and content consumption patterns;
  • Developing and executing growth strategies tailored to local audiences;
  • Conducting in-depth competitive analysis of regional platforms to identify opportunities and product gaps;
  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders;
  • Translating local market insights and business needs into clear product concepts and feature priorities;
  • Collaborating with designers to develop and localizing user interfaces aligned with cultural expectations and usability standards;
  • Defining, tracking, and analyzing key performance metrics to measure market traction, feature success, and overall product-market fit;
  • Assisting in running experiments, validating hypotheses, and continuously optimizing the product to improve engagement and conversion.
     

What we expect from you:

  • Strong understanding of digital entertainment consumption patterns in Japan;
  • Deep knowledge of Japanese digital culture and user expectations;
  • Familiarity with key local platforms, studios, creators, trends, and content formats;
  • Proven experience conducting competitive analysis and identifying product gaps;
  • Experience working with core product metrics (retention, conversion, ARPU, engagement, etc.);
  • Fluent Japanese (native or near-native level);
  • English - C1 level.
     

Will be a plus :

  • Experience launching or localizing a product for the Japanese market.
  • Experience working with high-load content platforms.
  • Experience expanding into Asian markets .
  • Established industry network and professional contacts.
  • Experience with subscription-based or UGC platforms.
