Who we're looking for: We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our Streaming Team.
Our service is built with PHP 8. We store data in MySQL and use ClickHouse for analytics. We also use Elasticsearch for search, as well as Redis and MongoDB extensively.
What you'll be working on:
- Developing new functionality and carefully maintaining existing features related to CDN load balancing, encoding, video optimization, and video recovery.
- Working on the quality and high availability of our video library.
What we expect from you:
- Strong knowledge of PHP.
- 5+ years of experience developing complex applications operating under high load.
- Experience designing and developing reliable, observable production systems.
- Experience with relational databases, including designing and optimizing them for high-load environments.
- Experience designing fault-tolerant solutions and safely introducing changes to critical-path services.
- Hands-on experience debugging, profiling, and optimizing PHP code.
- Strong knowledge of programming patterns and SOLID principles.
- Experience covering code with tests.
- Basic experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and command-line tools such as sh, bash, zsh, etc.
- Experience working in a team.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of MongoDB and ClickHouse.
- Knowledge of Go, Python, and TypeScript.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Examples of substantial code that you can share right away, such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.
